First Christian Church is a small, independent church in Canadian, Texas. Located in the prettiest part of the Texas Panhandle, First Christian Church is seeking a senior pastor, or as the members have referred to the role: "church captain." The ideal candidate will embrace our mission statement: "To make disciples who know Jesus and love like him in Canadian, Texas."

The ideal candidate in a small town church would be comfortable wearing many additional hats; some of which a senior pastor might not typically envision as part of the job description. Such duties would include helping with youth ministry, office and facilities management, bible study, leading worship, hospital visits, and becoming an integral part of a tight-knit, small town community. The church provides a parsonage, and salary commensurate with experience.
